As a contractor we have used buckets and wringer for quite a few years. Our calculations indicate the UltraMop has saved us about ½ hour per day on labor alone per account.

The Scorpion is designed specifically for the challenges of the retail flooring industry, such as: restricted access, shelf stocking challenges light or hard-to-reach areas, as well as, limited drying conditions. Easily sets up in a minute and applies BIB finish directly from the container! No transfer - No cleaning - No waste.
Step 1:
Clean the area to where the floor finish is to be applied. This would require the old finish to be either removed completely or partially scrubbed.
Step 2:
Prepare the Stinger 22” Applicator Tool and lay a BIB (box of finish) down the Scorpion and have the spigot towards the floor; take it to the area where is to be used.
Step 3:
Open BIB spigot a little bit to wet the Stinger 22” Applicator Tool first, and then apply a line of finish in the middle of the aisle or hall from start point to complete the first section, and close the spigot right before the end of the area. The preferred dimensions of the floor should be around 8 feet wide by about 60 feet away maximum. The flow of finish on the floor will vary from thin 2”, medium 3”, or heavy 4” depending on the desired level of thickness for the layer of finish and/or the width of the hall. Walk away (in reverse direction) from the start point.
Step 4:
Start at from the right side (wall) and do a right to left (180°) motion until you get to the left side, then move backwards (90° motion) and start going back to the right overlapping about 4” at each pass. Step besides the finish flow to avoid undesired finish application and maintain balance of your body. Put the Stinger Tool in the reusable vinyl cover when done or move to another area to prevent dripping and to protect the finish pad.

Q: How does the Scorpion work?
A: Simply lay the BIB down on the Scorpion with the spigot toward the floor. Turn the spigot on partially and walk at a controlled pace. Go back to your starting point and spread the finish using the Stinger applicator and continue.
Q: How much of a "bead" do I apply?
A: Based on extensive testing a 4" wide bead will yield 1700 sq/ft per gallon. If you need less adjust your spigot accordingly. There is a short learning curve similar to any basic cleaning technique.
Q: Which BIB floor finishes can be used?
A: Depends on manufacturers product. The dimensions for the Scorpion where the BIB is housed is 16 1/2 inches long x 9 1/4 inches wide. Check your BIB to assurace a correct fit.
