FT-4000 Fas-Pad Centrifugal Floor Pad Cleaning System
Q: What and why was the Fas-Pad Centrifugal pad cleaning station developed?
A: The inventor comes from within our industry and has been involved at the management and operational level for many years. Mr. Thibeault recognized that numerous amounts of floor pads, bonnets, and microfiber pads were discarded before their useful life. Waste to him turned into passion! After several years of hard work and much testing Fas-Pad was born! The cutting edge design coupled with common sense engineering has been integrated to fulfill a true need in the professional floor care industry.
Q: How unique is the Fas-Pad and how does it function?
A: Fas-Pad is so unique that patent pending status is confirmed with the US Patent Office. It is confirmed scientifically and validated though extensive beta testing that centrifugal motion combined with strategic spray jet positioning will optimize restoration cleaning of all types of pads. The combined synergies have been verified to create a restorative cleaning process that will revolutionize how floor pads are used and optimize in the future of the floor care maintenance.
Q: What kind of floor pads can be cleaned and recycled?
A: The Fas-Pad pad cleaning station is designed to clean all types of floor pads such as; black, red, blue, green, beige, hog hair, pink, and some carpet bonnets, and microfiber pads. The Fas-Pad can clean all sizes pads as well! 13 inch thru 27 inch pads can be cleaned with ease using this cutting edge technology.
Q: Can I clean and recycle those “nasty” black stripping pads that are loaded with pounds of white emulsified floor finish?
A: YES! They have to be cleaned while WET and for best result clean them during your stripping process. Note: If you have black pads that are dried you may have to re-soak them in stripper/water to emulsify the floor finish then clean them with the Fas-Pad.
Q: How long does a pad last or how many times can a pad be cleaned and recycled?
A: Based on extensive field testing we have found the range to be between 2 - 6 cleanings. The quality of the pad is directly related to how many times the pads can be cleaned and reused! Typically microfiber cleaning pads can be cleaned from 100-700 times depending on the quality and carpet bonnets can be cleaned from 75-150 times.
Q: Do I need special cleaning chemicals to conduct the restorative cleaning process?
A: NO! The Fas-Pad centrifugal pad cleaning station uses powerful centrifugal energy and hot tap water to remove the soil particulate from the pad matrix. You can prespray them with our Surrender cleaner for better results as appropriate.
Q: Do I need special hookups of any kind to use to Fas-Pad?
A: Simply follow the directions to mount the Fas-Pad station in the desired area. You hook up the hose, drain near your sink area and plug into a standard 110 volt receptacle. It takes about 20 minutes to mount to Fas-Pad station permanently in a designated location.
Q: What if I do not have an adequate area or too small of a closet area?
A: We now have an optional portable cart that can be used to make the Fas-Pad pad cleaning station portable and mobile. This will be of great benefit to certain clients who have multiple locations and have different requirements to optimize the investment of this innovative technology.
Q: How much does the Fas-Pad unit weight and what are the dimensions?
A: The unit only weighs 90lbs, and measures H=45”, W=33”, D=14”.
Q: How much money am I wasting with my current pad practices?
A: Depending on your facility size and your floor care systems we estimate the savings at between 30 – 60% of total expenditures of pads annually. Contact our office and we will be glad to assist you in calculating the savings specific to your operation.
Q: How long does it take to clean my pads using the Fas-Pad System?
A: It takes about 1 minute to clean and dry a standard pad; extremely dirty pads may take a little longer. Simply open the door, remove the center lock install pad. Close the door turn water on and turn on switch. The Fas-Pad has a sight glass where you can watch the cleaning take place.
Q: What do you mean when you say “drying”?
A: As mentioned after about 45 seconds simply turn the water off and let the motor run 10 seconds which spins water off the pad and provides a drying effect.
Q: Are there any other uses that are planned for the Fas-Pad?
A: Yes, We are working on some future enhancement to maintain our innovative position in the market place. We will keep our partners abreast as we move forward.
Q: What is the warranty of the Fas-Pad centrifugal pad cleaning station?
A: Our warranty is one year parts and five years on the rotomolded shell components.
